Umbrellas....

Well Umbrellas are certainly coming in handy around here these days. Snow, rain, sleet and hail... We've got it all.

Religion or Faith....

The weather has been so bad in my area lately that it has been hard to get out to take pictures. So today I attempted to take a few in the house. I collect Willow Tree dolls and I love this lil' Girl Praying. And our Bible is always open to PSALM 91. I am so excited that we have changed the clocks, now We will have longer days and it will be daylightt when we get out of work :O) More photo opps!

Childrens toys....

I took this after teaching Sunday School. I don't have little ones running around so I have no toys to play with ... :O) Maybe someday I'll have Grandchildren with lots of them.

Alone....

This is Maddison Nichole.. Our Baby Girl. She is 2 and hates when we leave her to go to work. She sits at the top of the stoop every morning and looks so sad that we are leaving her yet again. She looks like a lil' lost soul sitting there all alone..
If anyone has any suggestions on taking picture of black dogs outside I would really appreciate it. Ever time I try to get a shot of her in the snow, you cannot see any of her details. She just comes out very dark against the white snow.

Doors and Windows....

I thought I would change the color image to B&W and Sepia, Just to see how they look considering the building and rail car were here before color film. I like the sepia one the best I think.

F/13, Exposure time 1/640, ISO/500, Focal length 22mm, Max aperture 3.9, No flash

Texture...

I took a trip to the hair dresser the other day. What better texture then bright, shiny, freshly styled hair LoL. This was taken with the Sony Cyber shot.

Mini Assignment ~ Cropping ~ Composition

This is SophieJo, Our kitty. She was the subject of my mini assignment for cropping. Her eyes look so mean. But she is far from mean. She is a sweet heart.

~Looking Down~

Taken today on top of Clement Hill. Looking down over Hillsboro, NH.
It took a long time for me to decide to post this shot. It didn't come out the way I had expected it to. I don't know about everyone else, but I seem to have become very picky about what I want to post. If I think it's not a good shot, I don't want to post it. Maybe because I took it mid-day and the sun was high. I seem to do better in the morning and late afternoon. I used the auto setting again on my Nikon D80. I am trying to learn the settings so that I can set them manually. Maybe these shots will come out better.

~Cold~

I'm very excited to post my first photograph of 2010! As you can imagine, It was very cold outside.

The photo was taken 01/02/10 on Western Ave, in Henniker NH. It was snowing lightly and I had my camera with me so I made my hubby stop the truck and I snapped a quick shot on auto setting.
